Chapter 011969
Founding and International Origins
Taiwan Green Cross Co., Ltd. was founded in 1969, established jointly by The Green Cross Corporation (Japan) and Taiwanese entrepreneur Mr. Lin Hsi-chih, with its head office in Tainan.
From its earliest days, the company introduced Japanese pharmaceutical technology, quality management systems and professional management practices, becoming one of the few specialized pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan with an international background at that time, and laying the foundation for its later development in critical care, plasma-derived products and thrombolytic treatment.

Chapter 021970–1990
Deepening Expertise in Critical and Cardiovascular Care
From the 1970s onward, Taiwan Green Cross successively introduced a number of important hospital medicines, gradually building long-standing, in-depth relationships with Taiwan's medical centers, regional hospitals and clinicians, and accumulating professional expertise in critical care and cardiovascular treatment.
1972
Began distributing the imported Japanese product Rheomacrodex® 10% W/V Injection — a plasma volume expander — formally entering the critical care and inpatient treatment market.
1978
Began distributing the imported Japanese product Urokinase 6,000 IU Injection — a thrombolytic agent — establishing a presence in cardiovascular treatment.
1987
Began distributing the imported Japanese product Urokinase 60,000 IU Injection — a thrombolytic agent — further deepening its presence in the emergency, critical care and thrombolytic treatment market.
1992
Merged with its sales affiliate Green Cross Pharmaceutical, further strengthening its market positioning, product promotion and organizational development.
Chapter 031990–2000
Expanding into Plasma-derived Products and Specialty Care
From the 1990s, Taiwan Green Cross actively introduced high-quality plasma-derived products and treatments for rare diseases from Europe and the United States, continuing to deepen its professional positioning in critical care, blood disorders and specialty medicine.
By continually bringing in high-quality international products, the company gradually built a comprehensive platform of specialty medical products, and deepened its collaboration with Taiwan's healthcare system.

1993
Began distributing the imported U.S. products Albutein® 5% and Albutein® 25% Injection — human serum albumin.
1995
Chairman Lin Ting-tsai took office, leading the company into a new stage of development.
1996
Head office relocated to Taipei City, further strengthening nationwide operations, healthcare services and international cooperation.
Began distributing the imported Korean product Urokinase 250,000 IU Injection — a thrombolytic agent.
1998
Began distributing the imported U.S. product AlphaNine SD® Injection — Factor IX (hemophilia B).
Began distributing the imported U.S. product Albutein® 20% Injection — human serum albumin.
Began distributing the imported U.S. product Venoglobulin®-S 5% Injection — human immunoglobulin.
Chapter 042000–2015
From Distribution to Own Brands and International Markets
In 2006, following the divestment of Mitsubishi Tanabe (Japan), Taiwan Green Cross formally became a wholly Taiwanese-owned company, and continued to deepen the development of its own products and its expansion into international markets. The development of Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU and its expansion into overseas markets marked the company's gradual move from the Taiwanese market toward Asian markets, continually raising the visibility and competitiveness of Taiwan-made pharmaceuticals in international markets.
2001
Began distributing the imported U.S. product Alphanate® 250 IU Injection — Factor VIII (hemophilia A).
2004
Began distributing the imported product Flebogamma 5% from Grifols (Spain) — human immunoglobulin.
Began distributing Dolcol® F.C., Tab 250mg from Dainippon Pharmaceutical — a non-fluoroquinolone antibiotic.
2005
Obtained the license for Dolcol® F.C., Tab 250mg from Dainippon Pharmaceutical.
2006
Mitsubishi Tanabe (Japan) divested, and Taiwan Green Cross Co., Ltd. became a wholly Taiwanese-owned company.
Rheomacrodex® began contract manufacturing in Taiwan.
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU began contract manufacturing in Taiwan.
2007
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU was officially launched in Taiwan.
2008
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU was exported to Hong Kong.
2009
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU was exported to Singapore.
Sets Grifill® 3.0 (IV Set) / Gri-Bag® (IV Bags) / Gri-Flex® (IV Bags) obtained marketing licenses.
2011
Grifill® 3.0 System launched in Taiwan.
Launched a cooperative import project with Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co. GmbH (Germany).
2012
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU was exported to Vietnam.
2013
Innolac launched in Taiwan.
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU received marketing approval from the Thai government.
2015
Urokinase-Green Cross Inj. 60,000 IU received marketing approval from Myanmar's health authorities.
Chapter 052017–Present
Continuing Expansion into New Medical Fields
Beyond cardiovascular and critical care, Taiwan Green Cross has also actively expanded into dermatology and photodynamic therapy (PDT) markets, continuing to introduce innovative international medical products, responding to clinical needs and opening up further possibilities in specialty medicine.
2017
Began distributing the An-Mei sleep apnea therapy device (a negative-pressure iNAPO Lite Sleepy Therapy System).
2019
Began distributing the SLS continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) ventilator.
Began distributing the LARGAN sleep apnea and sleep-quality monitoring system (northern Taiwan region).
2020
Obtained the license for the Omnilux phototherapy device, formally entering the photodynamic therapy market.
At year-end, obtained distribution rights for generic drugs from Cadila.
2021
Began distributing generic drugs from Cadila, including Noklot, Nucoxia, Valazyd and Zyrova.
Obtained distribution rights for the European GlycoAla product line, covering photodynamic gels, active-oxygen exfoliating scrubs and ultrasonic beauty devices.
